About

Introduction

I’m the President of Stripco Inc, a family-owned and operated steel processing company.  We make production-ready steel products for just about any industry that manufactures steel components.  The business operates in a hyper-competitive environment (let’s be honest – we process a commodity), yet we have established a unique niche of a can-do attitude and excellent customer service.  Stripco is particularly special because of our great people.  Our vision is to build relationships and pursue stewardship.

Family

My pride and joy is my wife Debbie and our five wonderful children.  I met my wife in college, which was unlikely because she came to Indiana from California.  Fortunately a full-ride college softball scholarship had the power to move her, and my obvious charm had the power to keep her here!  We both had the privilege to grow up in homes with loving and committed parents, and we intend to provide the same love and security to our four kids.

Faith

I have  a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  I’m a broken and sinful man, saved by the grace of God through faith.

Education

I completed a double-major (Business and Communications) Bachelor of Science degree at Grace College in just three years.  I completed the acting program at The Second City in Chicago.  Most recently, I earned my MBA at the University of Notre Dame – an experience that changed my life.  I can’t say enough great things about Notre Dame, the professors, and everyone involved with the Executive MBA program.

Purpose of this Blog

To put it simply, this blog is my humble contribution to the pursuit of great leadership; mine and (hopefully) yours.  I thought of writing a book, and most of the base information posted here is the work I’ve done on it so far.  It’s my framework to plan for desired Leadership Results.  It also serves as a tool to diagnose what went wrong when things don’t turn out the way you expected.
